An economic business forum was held in Dnipro
On November 15, 2019, leading experts, businessmen and government representatives gathered in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration to discuss important issues of economic and industrial development of the region.
The Second Ukrainian Industrial Week (Ukrainian: DUIT) is a large-scale event covering 20 oblasts of Ukraine. A series of events on industrial and economic development were held in regional administrations.
In Dnipro the forum consisted of three sections:
- “Smart specialization” of industrial parks.
- Export promotion.
- Participation of domestic producers in international value chains.
During the first section the topic of relevance of the industrial parks development was discussed.
“Dnipropetrovsk region is the industrial center of Ukraine. And industrial parks are an integral part of developing the region’s investment attractiveness. In our region we have 3 parks! The success of their activity depends directly on the conditions we have for investors at the legislative level,” – said Oleksander Kolomiytsev, Director of SE “ICC”.
In addition to industry, during the event visitors also talked about space.
“Dnipro is a rocket region. The space industry has evolved and will only continue to grow! And I believe in it! Regarding the industrial parks development, we can set up space production, build a plant to produce rockets or parts for them,”– said Maxim Tkachenko, founder of Space Hub, co-founder of Dnipro Space Cluster and Space Valley.
We remind that DUIT-2019 is organized by the Ministry of Economy with the support of UNIDO, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the all-Ukrainian organization of local self-government bodies “Association of Ukrainian Cities”, the center of resource efficient and clean production.
The series of meetings of the All-Ukrainian Industrial Week will conclude the final forum, which will be held on December 4 in Kiev.
