Dnipropetrovsk Region is located in the central part of the country. The length of the area is 130 km from North to South and 300 km from West to East. It borders on the North with Poltava and Kharkiv, on the East by Donetsk, on the South by Zaporizhia and Kherson, on the West by Nikolayev and Kirovograd Regions. Region is divided into the North-Eastern and South-Western part of the Dnipro river.

Due to significant deposits of minerals, a powerful industrial base, developed agricultural enterprises, Dnipropetrovs’k Region is one of the first places in Ukraine in terms of economic development, especially in such fields as mining and food industry, metallurgy, power engineering, plant growing.

Nowadays, the Dnipropetrovsk Region is one of the most investment-attractive regions of Ukraine. The region is one of the leading exporters and ranks second in terms of exports among Ukrainian regions.

The region accounted 14.7% of the export commodity operations of Ukraine. The basis of the commodity structure were ferrous metals (37.5% of the total volume export of goods), mineral products (22.6%), products made of ferrous metals (14.3%), vehicles (10.1%), products of the chemical industry (2.4%).
