A strategy of the regions` development 2020 was presented in Dnipro

Airport construction, attraction of investments, environmental programs that will reduce harmful air emissions. And also roads, schools, gardens and hospitals, SMART projects, European integration and new communities have been repaired. All this is in the Dnepropetrovsk Development Strategy for 2020, presented by the Chairman of the Regional State Administration Oleksander Bondarenko. The meeting brought together over 600 guests – leaders of communities and cities of the region, community activists, business representatives.

“A systematic approach to work is the key to success. We will not be scattered because we have a clear plan of action for the coming year, – said the chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Bondarenko. – The regional development strategy for 2020 is comprehensive and covers all major spheres of life of the region. The main priorities are the airport, investment and ecology. In addition, we will continue to upgrade our infrastructure and focus on European integration and decentralization.”

Construction of the new airport will begin in the summer, 2020. A grant of 1.2 billion UAН was allocated for the airstrip, the terminal will be built by a private investor.

“Our priorities are developing infrastructure in the regions and attracting investment to the economy. We are glad that the new team of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration has taken our main course and already has good achievements. From a good start – the construction of a new airport. This is one of the tasks that we oversee together with the President”, -said Sergei Trofimov, First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

In 2020, it is planned to attract $ 100 million to the region. This will be assisted by the Investment Board at Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration and the International Economic Forum DEF-2020. Among the projects that will start to be implemented next year are the launch of the first plant in the industrial park “Pavlograd” and the construction of an eco-park on more than 100 hectares.

150 km of roads will be repaired in 2020 – 1.3 billion UAH will be invested in the regional budget. RSA will also attract investment funds. School repairs will continue. First of all, the educational institutions in Ilarionov, Vasylkivka and Tomakivka will reconstructed. They will take over the construction and reconstruction of water supply systems. In particular, to Cherkasʹke, Hvardiysʹke and Hubynykhy. Hospitals, sports facilities and parks will be also renovated.

Another area of work is the “smart-area”. Electronic services will become more accessible. For example, the project will be embodied  that would allow people to buy tickets for all modes of transport online.
